[D#] son
[A#7 open]

[D#] Son of my father
[G#] Molded, I was
[A#7] folded, I was
[D#] preform-packed
[D#] Son of my father

[G#] Surrounded and con-
[A#7]-founded by
[D#] statistic facts

[D#] signs
So I left my home, I'm
[G#] really on my own at
[D#] last
Left the trodden path and
[G#] separated
[A#7] from the
[D#] past
[A#7 open]

[D#] Son of my father
[G#] Changing, rear-
[A#7]-ranging into
[D#] someone new
[D#] Son of my father

[A#7] selecting inde-
[D#]-pendent views
[G#] Knowing and I'm
[A#7] showing that a
[D#] change is due
