Poco, Keep On Trying (1975)
Key: :[Ab] (w: Timothy B. Schmit)
INTRO:
[Ab] Oh
[Eb] oh
[Ab] oh
[Eb] oh
VERSE 1:
[Ab] I've been thinkin'
[Eb] 'bout, all the times you told me
[Ab] You're so full of
[Eb] doubt, you just can't let it be, but I
[Fm] know
[Db] If you keep on
[Eb] comin' back for
[Fm] more
Then
[Eb] I'll keep on
[Db] tryin',
[Ab] I'll keep on
[Eb] tryin'
VERSE 2:
And
[Ab] I've been drinkin'
[Eb] now, just a little too much
[Ab] And I don't know
[Eb] how, I can get in touch with
[Fm] you
[Db] Now there's only
[Eb] one thing for me to
[Fm] do
Is to
[Eb] keep on
[Db] tryin',
[Ab] to get home to
[Eb] you
PRE-CHORUS:
And I
[Fm] feel so
[Eb] satisfied when,
[Db] I can
[Ab] see you smile
[Fm] I want
[Eb] to confide in,
[Db] all that is
[Eb] true
CHORUS:
So I
[Ab] keep on
[Eb] trying, I'm
[Db] thru with
[Ab] lying
Just like the
[Fm] sun above,
[Ab] I'll come shining
[Eb] thru
Oh yes I'll
[Ab] keep on
[Eb] trying, I'm
[Db] tired of
[Ab] crying
I've got to
[Fm] find a way, to
[Eb] get home to
[Ab] you
VERSE 3:
[Ab] I've been thinkin'
[Eb] 'bout, all the times you held me
[Ab] I never heard you
[Eb] shout, the flow of energy was so
[Fm] fine
[Db] Now I think I'll
[Eb] lay it on the
[Fm] line
And
[Eb] keep on
[Db] tryin',
[Ab] to get on home to
[Eb] you
REPEAT PRE-CHORUS:
REPEAT CHORUS:
