Poco, Keep On Trying (1975)
Key: :[Db] (w: Timothy B. Schmit)
INTRO:
[Db] Oh
[Ab] oh
[Db] oh
[Ab] oh
VERSE 1:
[Db] I've been thinkin'
[Ab] 'bout, all the times you told me
[Db] You're so full of
[Ab] doubt, you just can't let it be, but I
[Bbm] know
[Gb] If you keep on
[Ab] comin' back for
[Bbm] more
Then
[Ab] I'll keep on
[Gb] tryin',
[Db] I'll keep on
[Ab] tryin'
VERSE 2:
And
[Db] I've been drinkin'
[Ab] now, just a little too much
[Db] And I don't know
[Ab] how, I can get in touch with
[Bbm] you
[Gb] Now there's only
[Ab] one thing for me to
[Bbm] do
Is to
[Ab] keep on
[Gb] tryin',
[Db] to get home to
[Ab] you
PRE-CHORUS:
And I
[Bbm] feel so
[Ab] satisfied when,
[Gb] I can
[Db] see you smile
[Bbm] I want
[Ab] to confide in,
[Gb] all that is
[Ab] true
CHORUS:
So I
[Db] keep on
[Ab] trying, I'm
[Gb] thru with
[Db] lying
Just like the
[Bbm] sun above,
[Db] I'll come shining
[Ab] thru
Oh yes I'll
[Db] keep on
[Ab] trying, I'm
[Gb] tired of
[Db] crying
I've got to
[Bbm] find a way, to
[Ab] get home to
[Db] you
VERSE 3:
[Db] I've been thinkin'
[Ab] 'bout, all the times you held me
[Db] I never heard you
[Ab] shout, the flow of energy was so
[Bbm] fine
[Gb] Now I think I'll
[Ab] lay it on the
[Bbm] line
And
[Ab] keep on
[Gb] tryin',
[Db] to get on home to
[Ab] you
REPEAT PRE-CHORUS:
REPEAT CHORUS:
